Persistent Truncus Arteriosus is a relatively uncommon heart malformation involving the ventriculoarterial connection in which a single outlet is present. The malformation is variable in its components. In this report we describe an unusual variant in which the common trunk arose exclusively from the right ventricle, the ventricular septum was intact and left heart was hypoplastic. Keywords

Chronic respiratory diseases are silent killers, neglected but leading cause of death. These diseases erode the health and wellbeing of the patients and have a negative impact on families and societies. Research on prevention and control of lung diseases is lagging behind and prevention and control programmes of respiratory diseases should be given high priority. This is because of the reason that respiratory diseases, perhaps more than any other types of diseases, are more easily prevented than cured. Keywords

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) represent an important occupational health issue in dentistry. Prolonged static postures, repetitive movements, excessive contraction of short muscles could cause musculoskeletal disorders. Even when the sitting posture is the one recommended by ISO, there is a high risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders. Each member of the dental team is predisposed to pain or injury in different areas of the body, depending on their tasks and position in relation to the patient.MSD is prevalent world over and is one of the commonest causes of long-term pain and disability affecting hundreds of millions of people. This article shows the causes and the mechanisms that lead to musculoskeletal disorders and some methods for prevention. Keywords

The study examines the effect of population ageing on health expenditure at the household and individual levels utilising NSS 60th Round data. It found that one quarter of the elderly reported their health as poor and the proportion increased with increase in age. Disease prevalence among elderly was high. It was more than 40 per cent and it increased with age so that per capita hospitalization cost for the elderly is four times higher than for others. The skewness in health expenditure towards the elderly tends to diminish when we adjust the aged population for their higher risk of getting diseases. Presence of elderly in the household augments per capita hospitalisation cost for the household.- To Compare the Efficacy and Complication of Nasal Prongs vs Nasal Mask CPAP in Neonates

Background: CPAP refers to the application of positive pressure to the airway of a spontaneously breathing infant throughout the respiratory cycle.
Objectives: To study the clinical pattern of CPAP in neonate
Method: Total 75 patient were enrolled in the study, 38 in the nasal mask and 37 were in the nasal prongs group. The result of the study was analysed by using Fisher exact test and unpaired t test for continuous variable.
Results: The base line characteristics such as birth weight, male and female, match in both the groups. The babies who were < 32wks and < 1500gm birth weight had more frequent trauma in both the groups. The severity of trauma was more as the duration of CPAP was increasing in both the groups. There was no difference of co morbidities like PDA, ROP, IVH in both the groups.
Conclusion: The of duration of CPAP was less in nasal prongs than nasal mask which is statistically significant, but there were no statistically significance of nasal trauma in comparison of both the groups

The simulation and drawing based on new type of technology namely junction less transistor technology CMOS inverter is discussed in this paper at various channel lengths. The transient curve, noise margin, various differences between conventional and junction less technology has been illustrated in this paper. The surface conduction and bulk conduction steps using visual TCAD is also expressed. The designing and fabrication steps along with the pros and cons have been characterized. The short channel parameter on which all other parameters directly or indirectly depends is calculated for both conventional and junction less transistor at different nodes. The noise margin and propagation delay at channel length 10nm, 20nm, 30nm and 40nm is calculated using TCAD simulation software. It has been found that CMOS inverter is giving best results when made using junction less technology. Keywords

After demonetization in INDIA, eWallets are very actively participating for financial transactions in Indian economy. Very huge population in INDIA, today,is using eWallets. In one side, eWallets are providing very convenience in shopping and online transactions and on another side people are fearing for any online frauds because some eWallets are not following fraud proof security practices, they are using Software security practices like password only. Passwords can sometime be easy breakable or can be stolen online. Hardware level security in various e-Wallets, which are active in INDIA, can reduce these types of frauds. Through hardware level security the e-Wallet would be more secure and can be used freely without worry of fraud. To implement hardware level security measure, application developers have to code applications from scratch. Developers need to find a way so that recoding of application can be avoided. Keywords

Objectives: Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANETs) due to their dynamic topology are more liable to have security problems. These Adhoc Networks are easily susceptible to various types of attacker nodes. Out of the numerous attacks black hole, flooding and selective packet drop attacks are more hazardous attacks which reduce the performance of network under various parameters. Due to this problem, there is a need to develop a new approach for mitigating these attacker nodes simultaneously to improve the performance of MANETs Methods: An Intelligent Intrusion Detection and Prevention System (IIDPS) is proposed for preventing the ad hoc network from these three types of attacks under the AODV protocol. The proposed mechanism works on the basis of trust management. This research work consists of a central network administrator for detecting malicious nodes in the MANETs. IIDPS includes a trust manager which categorizes the trust of the network into different categories. Different types of malicious nodes are identified by the behavior classifier based on a predefined threshold and risk factor conditions. Findings: The proposed IIDPS is responsible for preventing MANETs from the black hole, flooding, and selective packet drop attacker nodes. At the same time, the proposed prevention system improves the performance of the network in the terms of numerous parameters like throughput, overhead, delay, packet delivery ratio etc. Novelty/ Improvement: There is no technique exist for MANETs under AODV protocol for detecting black hole, flooding and selective packet drop malicious nodes. The proposed IIDPS solves this issue to handle of these multiple attacks at the same time. Keywords

Background/Objectives: When client wants some change in functionality or in look/design of software, then after implementation of requirement, tester has to retest it. For this tester has to perform regression testing. It is done to verify that any other issue is not pushed into the system, and also verify existing issue if any, So, Regression testing not only is very important process when software change made but also it is very costly too. Methods: This paper proposes a new method based on ratio between number of issues found and run time of Test cases. This paper gives predilection to the original test suite so that the new suite, which is run within a time-constrained execution environment, will have a superior rate of fault detection. Findings: This paper presents a technique that prioritizes regression test cases so that the new ordered test case produces a high productivity. Application/Improvements: This paper assumes data for pre-executed test cases in the form of number of issues found and run time. Keywords

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) is the best nutrition for children during the first six months of life. However EBF remains a challenge.
Objective: The aim of the study was to assess Knowledge, Attitude and Practice towards EBF among lactating mothers.
Methods: A community based cross-sectional study was conducted among 350 mothers using a structured interviewer-administered questionnaire using 'recall since birth' method. Systematic random sampling was used to select the study participants and descriptive statistics were conducted.
Results: Out of 350 lactating women, maximum women belonged to the age group of 26 to 30 years (31.4%). Maximum of them were from nuclear family (71.7%). 320 lactating mother (91.4%) of study participants had information about EBF.
Conclusion: The majority of mothers knew about EBF and had a positive attitude towards EBF but did not know the recommended duration or that EBF is sufficient for six months. Breastfeeding counselling and health education on nutrition to the mother by health workers should be promoted.

Background: According to World Health Organization Exclusive Breastfeeding (EBF) is, giving baby only breast milk for 6 months without adding any additional food or water. Objectives: This Study was done to assess the prevalence of breastfeeding among mothers attending the vaccination clinic and Outpatient Department (OPD) in tertiary care centre and assessing the challenges faced by the mothers during breastfeeding. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional study with two types questionnaire-used, one to assess the prevalence of EBF and second to assess the knowledge related to breast feeding. Questionnaires were prepared based on one-point survey. Sample size was calculated by Daniel’s formula: n = z. 500 mothers were assessed, participants divided into two groups based on whether they exclusive breastfeed their babies for 6 months or not. Chi square test for independence was done to assess the association. Results: A total of 500 mothers were given questionnaire who visited vaccination clinic and OPD out of these 66 mothers did not participate for questionnaire because of lack of unwillingness. Most of the mothers (250, 65.10%) said that breastfeeding was good for the baby, 230 (59.89%) mothers were aware that mother’s milk composition was different from cow’s milk and (72.91%) felt that prelacteals should not be given to the baby. Conclusions: Most of the mothers are aware that breast milk is beneficial for their baby; however, the biggest problem was anxiety regarding the amount of their breast milk. There is also a need of campaign related to harm done by prelacteals feed. Keywords

Background: Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) is a disease where development of abnormal retinal vessels occurs because of incomplete vascularization of the retinal tissue. With advancement in the field of neonatology now more premature babies and Very-Low-Birth-Weight (VLBW) infants surviving and incidence of retinopathy of prematurity is increasing. ROP screening should be done in all premature babies. Objectives: To Study the Risk Factors for Retinopathy of Prematurity in Premature Born infants at tertiary care centre. Methods: This study was done on 75 newborns infants and were included in study after satisfying the inclusion criteria. The following criteria were studied: gestational age≤34 weeks or BW≤1500 grams, along with neonates with more birth weight and higher gestational age having risk factors like : low Apgar score, duration of oxygen supplementation more than 10 days, sepsis, more than one blood transfusion, respiratory distress. Characteristics of newborns including risk factors, and pattern of severe ROP were assessed from Punjab region of India. Result: Total of 75 newborns included in the study, 53 were males (70.66%) and 22 were (29.33%) females. The analysis of gestational age showed that the mean age was 29.9±2.9 weeks, the youngest one was of 27 weeks and the oldest was 37 weeks of gestation. The average birth weight was 1350±510 grams, with lowest 675 gm and highest 3100 grams. Conclusion: The most common risk factors that are associated with development of ROP revealed gestational age, Apgar score in the first minute, birth weight, duration of oxygen therapy and the blood transfusion. Keywords
